Sofitel London Gatwick: Prestige Suite Review

When it comes to taking flights out of Gatwick and wanting to stay in luxury at the airport, you only really have 2 choices of hotels. 1 being Hilton at South Terminal, and the other being Sofitel at North. Today, I'm going to be reviewing the Prestige Suite at Sofitel London Gatwick, which is the hotel best suited to passengers flying out of or into the north terminal. Sofitel London Gatwick is one of only a handful of hotels in the Sofitel brand that isn't 5*, instead, it's

British Airways Club Europe A320 Review: Edinburgh (EDI) - London Heathrow (LHR)

In the days where 95% of intra-European business class is automatically assumed to not be worth the money unless flying routes like British Airways 777 route to Madrid, the Iberia A340/A350 route to Madrid, or some of the Turkish Airlines 777 routes out of London, I've had many messages myself asking if I'd give my opinion of British Airways Club Europe on their A320 family of aircraft, and I'm pleased to say it's finally here! At Edinburgh, Club Europe has its own dedicated

Weight Loss As A Wheelchair User: Halfway There!!

I'm so excited to share this, and this will be like no other blog post I've done. As people know, over the last few months I've been losing weight, but I haven't always kept everyone up to date with the progress. That's because, I had been keeping it as private as possible, as I was going to do a massive blog post, YouTube video etc once I reach my target weight. However, I've moved my target goal, and also found out that I was a lot heavier at one point than I thought, as I

Exercising as a Wheelchair user, and with Spondylolisthesis

When it comes to losing weight, it isn't all about diet. You have to exercise regardless. Why? Because if you diet alone you'll almost certainly lose muscle and not just fat. On a ketogenic or low carb diet, exercising becomes even more important to be able to keep muscle let alone gain it. I've been extremely lucky that in the last few months I've found a PT who not alone has experience of helping wheelchair users get a programme that suits them and their needs, she also has

    Hilton Hotels Northampton Suite

As Part of my Accessible Hotels series, in this post I'll be review Hilton Hotel Northampton and one of their suites. Brett and I recently stayed here and were very impressed by this hotel and the level of service we received throughout. The Hilton Hotel at Northampton is a 4 star hotel, situated just off of junction 15 of the M1, with easy access to the A45, A508 and other main roads. The hotel is around 40 minutes from the M25, 25 minutes from Milton Keynes, and just 12 mil

Accessible Travel: Brittany Ferries Poole - Cherbourg Return

After doing the hotels that brett and I stayed at during our French and Spanish roadtrip as part of the Accessible Hotel Series, I thought I'd write a post about the ferry company that actually got us from the UK to mainland France, Brittany Ferries. It's the first time on this blog I've actually written about a ferry company, mainly because I haven't thought to do it until recently, when a few people asked me to review ones I've been on since I became disabled of which there

Welcome to a review of the Junior Suite at the Mercure Libourne St Emilion! The Mercure Libourne St Emillion is a hotel situated around 25 minutes drive from Bordeaux. Although it has no swimming pool, spa or fitness facilities, the hotel is very nice with a good sized private ca

The Suite at NH Hotel Valencia Center (Part of the French and Spanish Roadtrip)

As part of my accessible hotels series, I'm going back to a few of the hotels I've visited since becoming disabled but hadn't yet started blogging when I visited them. One that stood out for me, was NH Hotel Valencia Center. This particular hotel was probably the best hotel I've stayed at in all of my visits to Spain both before and after I became disabled. The NH Hotel Valencia Center is a 4 star hotel situated within a few minutes stroll of Valencia's Old Town. The suite it

Are Power Plates The Answer To Losing Weight As A Wheelchair User?

A few weeks ago, I had an email from someone asking if I'd lost weight or if something else was going on. Well the truth is that in the last 4 months I've lost 13.5kg and I'm not about to stop anytime soon! It's a well known fact that wheelchair users who acquire their disability often quickly put on weight in the first few months of the life changing rollercoaster that comes with a new health condition/injury etc. Within 4 months of being diagnosed with Spondy, my weight sho
